VAGINAL STEAM PREPARATION

Typical in-studio sessions lasts one hour.

You will need to remove all clothing from the waist down. Steam robes or gowns are provided.

After a brief consultation and review of your intake form, herbs are selected and steams are customized for your specific cycle needs.

A 15-20 minute relaxation follows your steam session. You will rest on a massage table with a hot water bottle, and crystal or sound therapies may be incorporated at no extra cost. You may add Reiki healing during this time (additional cost).

Caution: Vaginal steam is not an option during your period time, while bleeding from the womb, while pregnant, or within the first 6 weeks after a Cesarean section birth or any other womb-related surgery or procedure (abortion, D&C, uterine ablation, tubal ligation, etc). Please schedule with these in mind.

GETTING THE MOST FROM YOUR SESSION

To get the most from your steam session, the following are recommended but not required:

  • Avoid consuming nicotine, alcoholic beverages, or street drugs for at least 12 hours before AND after your session

  • Feel free to bring any positive affirmations or words to focus on during your steam

  • Wear clothing that is easy to remove and put back on.

  • If possible, take an energy cleansing bath soak the night before or morning of your session ---

    • Add 2 pounds of Epsom salt, 16 ounces of hydrogen peroxide, and 2-4 tablespoons of baking soda to a hot (but comfortable) tub of water

    • Submerge the body fully and soak for 20 minutes, frequently sponging areas the body including the neck, shoulders and back

    • Relax and allow the body to sweat, releasing stress, negative energy and toxins

    • After soaking, drain the tub and shower quickly for cleansing

Caution: Epsom salt can relax the blood vessels, thereby lowering blood pressure. Those with low blood pressure (hypotension) should avoid this soak.

  • Schedule a follow up session for maintenance ... consider either weekly sessions or once before and once after your period … or ask about our affordable bundled sessions
